Diprospan is a medication indicated in the treatment of various diseases and situations that induce inflammatory processes(COPD), arthritis, osteoarthritis, ulcerative colitis, muscle injuries, torticollis, lumbago, bursitis, dermatitis, lupus, psoriasis, etc. These include: allergy, swelling, asthma, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The active principle of Diprospan is Betamethasone, a corticoid with anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and anti-allergic effect. It is used for treatment of some acute and momentary conditions and also in the chronic and auxiliary situations of other treatments.
Another indication for Diprospan is in some pregnant women who are going to have a preterm birth and use the medication in order to mature the baby's lungs.
