  • Avoid products that have salicylic acid, glycolic acid or alcohol in their compositions;
  • Use sunscreen daily, preferably ones that contain moisturizers;
  • Spend moisturizer every day, preferably after bath, while the skin is still slightly moist;
  • Always use moisturizer after going to the pool, beach and sauna, after sun exposure and chemicals;
  • Wipe the skin by gently pressing the towel on the skin, without rubbing;
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun;
  • Wear gloves when handling chemicals;
  • Moisturize your hands frequently;
  • Avoid smoking;
  • Drink water frequently.

It is important to note that dry skin may be temporary and related to external factors, but it may also be a sign of health problem or skin diseases, including cancer.
