Generally, the antibiotic takes a few hours to start taking effect, depending on the medication and the infection. In the case of benzetacil, its maximum effect occurs between 12 and 24 hours after administration.
In most infections caused by bacteria, the effects of antibiotics begin to be felt after the first few 2 days of treatment. If the antibiotic is not working, it may be for any of the following reasons:
- The disease is not the one that was thought and the patient may be taking the wrong antibiotic;
- The dose of the antibiotic is insufficient (low);
- The timing of taking the medication is not being obeyed;
- There may be loss of medication by vomiting;
