When I was 7 years old, I had nephritis. What is nephritis?

dr, when I was 7 I had nephritis, and to tell you the truth, I do not know right now what that is! Once, my godmother who is a biology teacher said that my nephritis was the consequence of a urinary tract infection, does that have anything to do with it? Can this bring me some future problems or anything to see? Did you take it, treat it, heal it and just take care not to pick it up again?
Expert answer:

Nephritis is an inflammation of the kidneys. There are people who have had (or rarely) nephritis, have been treated well and never had and have not had any sequelae in the kidneys, and there are people who have recurrent episodes of nephritis. The higher the number of nephritis the higher the chance of a chronic sequela, may even happen in those who had only one episode (but it is uncommon).
