Did I take the morning-after pill at risk of becoming pregnant?

I took the pill the next day last week on Tuesday the right day to get off my period was to be yesterday eight days later I ran the risk of getting pregnant?
Expert answer:

Yes, any woman who has unprotected sex is at risk of becoming pregnant, the morning after pill is an emergency contraceptive method (it should never be used routinely), which has a limited and time-dependent efficacy, the longer it takes to take less effective.

In your specific case, as you were at the end of your cycle and already out of your fertile time the chances of getting pregnant are smaller.
