My son is hyperactive, I'm afraid to give the medicine!

Hello, my son is 7 years old and is asperger and hyperactive diagnosed, the neurologist passed to him risperidone manipulated 0, 25 in 1 ml (4 drops in the morning, 5 in the afternoon and 6 at night) and manipulated imipramine 15 mg in 5ml (5ml the night), but I'm so worried, he has not started yet, but I've read so many things about such medications that I was afraid to give ... he's repetitive (mania), aggressive, restless, not concentrating on what he does, a year and only gets worse. Should I give these medications? Can it cause any serious side effects?
Expert answer:

Medications are the main weapons that doctors have to treat their patients, if you go to the doctor and do not take the medicines it is no use to seek a doctor. Of course the ideal would be for your child not to take, but it is a very troublesome case and you need help, in this case: medication, start treating your child.
