THE tuberculosis is a disease that mainly affects the lungs, but can affect other organs, thus being called extra pulmonary tuberculosis.
Those types of tuberculosis can be:
- Pleural Tuberculosis (in the film lining the lungs);
- Cutaneous Tuberculosis;
- Cerebral Tuberculosis;
- Ganglionar Tuberculosis (affects the lymph nodes);
- Bone Tuberculosis;
- Urinary Tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis is a disease caused by bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis also known as Koch's bacillus.
When tuberculosis reaches the lungs, it can cause prolonged coughing, fever, night sweats and weight loss. In other places in the body, the symptoms can be varied and specific depending on the location reached.
