  • Do not smoke;
  • Do not drink alcoholic beverages;
  • Lose weight when needed;
  • Reduce the size of meals;
  • Avoid tight clothing;
  • Do not go to bed right after a meal; wait at least 3 hours;
  • Place shims 15 to 20 cm under the foot of the bed to raise the headboard.
