Stroke in the eye, what causes it?

Expert answer:

O eyelid effusion, or hyposphagma, is the tearing of tiny blood vessels located in the conjunctiva, causing a red spot of blood in the eye. The conjunctiva is a thin transparent film that covers the sclera (white part of the eyes).

Ocular effusion is a very common situation and does not affect vision. It usually cures by itself, disappears in about 10 to 14 days, and no treatment is necessary in many cases.
