Fever after appendicitis surgery?

My son is 3 years old and after many trips to the hospital it was detected that he had appendicitis. The surgery was performed and the doctor said it was level 02 appendicitis. After two days inpatient was released and now has a fever, I give the remedy soon back. This is normal?
