Black spot on the uterus, what can it be?

Expert answer:

Black spots on the outside of the uterus (cervix) inside the vagina may be due to the lesions and warts caused by HPV, which is a virus transmitted primarily through sexual contact. If the spot is located outside the uterine cavity, on the outside of the uterus, inside the abdomen (visualized through the endoscopic laparoscopy examination), it may be endometriosis, which is caused by the attachment of the internal lining of the uterus (endometrium) outside or other organs such as the bladder, vagina, intestine, and ovaries.

The gynecologist is the physician appointed to diagnose the cause of these blemishes and guide appropriate treatment.
