Is there an alternative to Benzetacil for throat inflammation?

Is there an alternative to Benzetacil for cases of throat inflammation? The last time I got sick with this problem the doctor prescribed other injections and did not speak well of Benzetacil saying it was very traumatic and dangerous. What can Dr. say about this?
